WELCOME to a fairly recently-launched editorial thread on placedesignscotland.com: noting appointments, retirements, etc in the Scottish placemaking sector.
And we are grateful to reporting in Scottish Housing News, Scottish Construction Now and Project Scotland, plus others, for news of the following:
Dalziel, Gary – One of several appointments to the board of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations. Says the SFHA: “Gary Dalziel of Elderpark Housing Association and Catherine Rossine of NG Homes will join the board representing the ‘city of Glasgow’ constituency. Linda Leslie of Kingdom Housing Association and David Mills of West Granton Housing Co-operative were elected to represent ‘non-urban areas’, whilst Karen Eunson of Hjaltland Housing Association was elected to represent the ‘rural and islands’ constituency. Angela Linton of Hillcrest Homes was re-elected for another term to represent ‘other cities’.” Reported here;
Johnstone, Sammi – Appointed head at the first Scotland office of commercial building, project and sustainability consultancy, Jones Hargreaves. Joined by new recruit, Daniel Little. Reported here;
Macleod, Anne – One of four appointments to the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland. Along with Lynn Pilkington, Zara Todd and Nariese Whyte. Reported here;
Parry-Geddes, Jo – Appointed a director at South Queensferry-based MILL Architects. Along with Darren Albury. Says MILL: “They join current director, Richard Webb, following the retirement last month of founding director, Chris Duncan.” Reported here;
Procter, Julie – Retiring as chief executive officer of the parks and green spaces charity, Greenspace Scotland. Reported here;
Rennie, Linda – Appointed regional sales manager at Avant Homes West Scotland. Reported here;
Scott, Allan – Named chair of Edinburgh-based housing association, Share. Vice-chair: Anna Stuart. Joined by new board members, Jonathan Giddings-Reid, Larke Adger and Susan Bell. Reported here;
Slessor, Stephen – Appointed chief executive officer at water treatment specialists, Ross-shire Engineering. Reported here; and
Whigham, Jim – Appointed workshop manager at Dalkeith-based bespoke cabinet and joinery firm, MadeByOrocco. Reported here.
