Call for entries issued to celebrate work on Scotland’s empty homes

ENTRIES are being called for by an awards competition celebrating the best work in reversing the number of empty homes in Scotland.
Say the awards organisers, here: “The awards honour the inspiring work of individuals and organisations who have made exemplary contributions to the field of private sector empty homes work in Scotland.”
It is estimated there are at least 43,000 empty homes in Scotland. The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership is funded by the Scottish Government and hosted by housing charity, Shelter Scotland.
Four award titles are up for grabs: best use, best retrofit, best use of data and rising star.
The closing date for entries is January 13, with the awards ceremony taking place on March 3 (during the 12th annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference).
