Entries invite for ‘My Place’ Awards

A CALL for entries has been issued, to find Scotland’s ‘top’ community-led ‘built environment projects’ that have transformed their locality.
The ‘My Place’ Awards are run by the Scottish Civic Trust on behalf of the country’s community councils.
And four categories are up for grabs:
- New buildings;
- Historic buildings or monuments that have been reused or refurbished;
- Designed public realm schemes such as streetworks, parks, etc.; and
- Designed landscapes e.g. gardens or public green spaces.
Says the competition’s application form, here: “Any submitted projects must have been completed by community groups, including community councils, and must be able to demonstrate that it has involved the wider community at every stage of the process and that the final project has had a positive impact on the local area.”
The deadline for entries is the 12th of next month.
