A sustainable future for our ‘World Heritage’ cities

April 13, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

BEGINS the even blurb: “Over the past three years, the AtlaS.WH project (here) has explored the sustainable management of urban World Heritage Sites in Porto, Bordeaux, Florence, Santiago de Compostela and Edinburgh.

“As this major project draws to a close, and, to mark the week of World Heritage Sites, Edinburgh World Heritage will host the fifth and final series of partnership events, bringing together leading experts to explore the role of heritage in solving issues related to the climate emergency.

“Guests include the five project partners, experts from the Scottish heritage sector, Edinburgh city managers, and international partners.

“Over two days, the plans for each urban World Heritage Site will be presented, and we will discuss how the impact of climate change is assessed and addressed through case studies and the latest in sector research.”

Other dates and times: Tuesday April 13, 2.30pm to 3.30pm and Wednesday April 14, 10am to 11.45am.
