Building resilience – a glimpse into the future of energy modelling

October 28, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

BEGINS the event blurb: “Since inception, Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC) has explored the theme of improved energy modelling with the support of industry and academia.

“In partnership with University of Strathclyde and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), CSIC would now like to bring a new building resilience initiative to the attention of the wider industry.

“At the event, we will deliver insight into an emerging modelling approach, intended to progress and future-proof our built environment by testing a building’s resilience within a computational environment.”

The panel is likely to include representation from: • Haus Collective • arbnco • Hurley Palmer Flatt • BRE • RIAS • Energy Action Scotland • Health Facilities Scotland NHS.

“This is a major initiative with potential funding to develop further, and this event will add value to a concept that focuses on what really matters – closing the gap between design intent and operational reality.”

Among the speakers: Fiona MacDonald, Construction Scotland Innovation Centre; Stuart MacPherson, CIBSE president; and Joe Clarke, University of Strathclyde.
