BEGINS the event blurb: “Join us on Monday 26 September, the opening day of Scotland’s Climate Week, as we explore some of the different ways in which communities can encourage climate action and participation in a local setting.”
It adds: “The event will also launch and provide an introduction to the Place Standard Tool with a ‘climate lens’ by the project partners. Good place-making is essential for designing a robust local response to the climate emergency, such as taking local action to cut emissions and to increase resilience to local climate change impacts.
“The climate lens will help stakeholders to consider how climate change will play out in a local area. It will inspire locally-appropriate climate action, while also delivering health and wellbeing, social, economic and environmental benefits.”
