Housing in Scotland and Wales

May 26, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

BEGINS the event blurb: “We now know the results of the May 2021 elections. In Scotland, the SNP held on to power, winning 64 of 129 seats in the Scottish Parliament. In Wales, Welsh Labour equalled their record , securing 30 out of 60 Senedd seats. This left both parties just short of an outright majority.

“Immediately prior to the elections, the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE) published two papers setting out a series of evidence-informed priorities for the incoming Scottish and Welsh Governments, drawing on evidence researchers have produced in the last three years, to build a case for policy ideas that we think are worthy of further consideration now that the election is over.

“The webinar provides an opportunity to discuss these ideas in more detail. The event will be chaired by Professor Duncan Maclennan (University of Glasgow) and includes contributions from Professor Ken Gibb (CaCHE director, University of Glasgow) and Dr Bob Smith (CaCHE Knowledge Exchange broker, University of Cardiff), as well as guests speakers from both Scotland and Wales (to be announced).”
