Peatland restoration – volunteers wanted

BEGINS the event blurb: “We will be clearing birch scrub at Braehead Moss in order to protect its valuable peatland habitat. Invasive scrub, if left to grow, will take vital water resources away from the bog which threatens the specialised flora and fauna that live there. We’ll be using tools such as loppers, saws and mini mattocks to remove the scrub.”
