North Glasgow regeneration plan approved

PLANS to regenerate north Glasgow, centering on a ‘strategic framework’, have been approved for inclusion in a wider development plan for the whole city.

The approval – by the city’s elected members – will now be presented to the Scottish Government for its ‘rubber stamping’.

Says a Glasgow City Council announcement, here: “Consultation on the North Glasgow Strategic Development Framework took place in late 2020 / early 2021, with the responses informing the final framework and its vision for a healthy, high-quality and sustainable place in which to live, work and visit.”

It adds: “[The wider development plan for the whole city] was adopted in March 2017 and informs all planning and land use decisions in Glasgow, with the aim of creating a healthy and high-quality place and compact city form that supports sustainable development.”
