Projects seeking to bring about ‘town transformation’ invited to apply for matching finance

PROJECTS seeking to transform towns and neighbourhoods are being invited to apply for a share of a £10m funding pot.

Match-funding of between £5,000 and £25,000 is being made available by the fund – created by the Scottish Government and being administered by Scotland’s Towns Partnership.

£2m is being made available from the fund – called ‘Scotland Loves Local’ – this financial year. The £10m fund is a multi-year commitment.

Says a Scottish Government (here), the funding “aims to bring new, suitable, creative projects and activity to towns and neighbourhoods – helping build local wealth and increase footfall and activity, while supporting local enterprise partnerships”.

It adds: “Eligible projects could include things like community shops, marketing and digital schemes, or enabling larger construction projects delivery.”

Applications close on October 1.
