Architects’ body, RIAS, appoints new chief

THE professional body for Scotland’s architects has appointed a new chief.

Tamsie Thomson has been named chief executive of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).

Thomson – who is currently a managing director of New London Architecture and was previously director of the London Festival of Architecture – will join the RIAS in July.

Says a media announcement, here on the RIAS website, her appointment comes “at a time of great change and a significant opportunity to shape Scotland’s built environment and its architectural community”.
