Shipyard plans announced for upto 310 homes

A PLANNING application is expected to be submitted for up to 310 homes on a former Glasgow shipyard site.

A so-called Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) has been submitted by the site owners, New City Vision, to Glasgow City Council. It involves the Govan Graving docks just to the west of the Glasgow Science Centre.

In the meantime, two public consultation exercises are to be run, as noted here.

Says a media release issued on behalf of New City Vision: “The residential proposals, which forms part of the broader vision for the regeneration of the site [including as reported, here, on placedesignscotland], would see up to 310 new homes constructed on the historic site, taking up less than 20 per cent of the overall site area.”
