Social housing funding pot relaunched

A FUNDING pot has been relaunched to assist providers of ‘social rent’ housing.
Registered housing associations are being invited to apply to an £80m loan fund, a continuation of Scottish Government financial support programme to support the building of ‘affordable’ housing.
The £80m is for the current financial year and the interest paid will be reinvested as grants into the social rented sector.
Says a Scottish Government announcement, here: “Since 2014, more than £260 million in loans have been made to housing associations across every corner of Scotland through the programme, generating almost £50 million in grants.”
