Summary published of Passivhaus in Scotland

THE exacting energy efficiency standard of Passivhaus is becoming increasingly commonplace in Scotland – according to the UK-wide organisation advocating the system.

In a summary of Passivhaus projects already completed or in the pipeline, the Passivhaus Trust has (here) identified eight developments, including school projects and housing ones too.

They are:

Affordable homes proposal, Platform 3, Dundashill, Glasgow;

Dunfermline Learning Campus (pictured);

New, affordable homes, Conic Way and Montrose Way, Drymen;

Tenement block retrofit, Niddrie Road, Glasgow;

Riverside Primary School, Perth;

Housing development, Springfield Cross, Glasgow;

Local authority housing, Burnbrae, Midlothian; and

Blairgowrie Recreation Centre.
