Views sought on ‘early-stage proposals’ for four Glasgow neighbourhoods

RESIDENTS of four Glasgow neighbourhoods are being encouraged to share their views on early-stage proposals to create people-friendly streets that are less dominated by vehicle traffic.

The districts – Yoker to Whiteinch, Royston to Hogganfield, Mansewood to Shawlands and Pollokshields East to Gorbals – are to benefit from funding from ‘active travel’ charity, Sustrans, under its Places for Everyone scheme.

Says the local authority, here, of the ‘early-stage proposals’: “Now, a shortlist of potential projects for each area are being progressed for further design development and potentially construction, subject to future funding opportunities arising.”

The details of the shortlisted proposals can be found, here.
