Views sought on Edinburgh’s canal

VIEWS are being sought on how Edinbugh’s canal – the Union Canal – might be improved.

A consultation exercise has been opened – closing on the 17th of next month – seeking to determine, among other things, how often the canal is used, and in what capacity, and also what could be done to make it a more enjoyable experience for users.

Says The City of Edinburgh Council, which has set up the consultation: “The City of Edinburgh Council and Scottish Canals are working in partnership to update the Edinburgh Union Canal Strategy

“Originally produced in 2011, we would like your views to help inform the updated strategy and guide the future development and vision for the place we wish the Union Canal to be.”

Take part, here.
