Views sought on regeneration plans for SE Edinburgh district

VIEWS are being sought on plans to regenerate a south-east Edinburgh district.

Consultation has opened on the plans for Moredunvale, including a wildflower meadow and an outdoor gym.

Other key ideas – generated by Moredun Multis Residents Association, Gilmerton Inch Community Council, The City of Edinburgh Council and external design consultants – include:

  • Improved accessibility through the greenspace;
  • New paths through the greenspace;
  • New/improved play equipment in the existing playpark;
  • Additional litter bins;
  • Additional seating;
  • Creation of an outdoor amphitheatre;
  • Infrastructure for community activity, such as a gala day or football events; and
  • Tree planting.

Says an online consultation hub, here: “Your feedback is welcome to refine these proposals.”

Views are required by March 8.
